Privacy Policy
The short version
Everflow asks for one thing — your date of birth — and that date never leaves your phone. Every number the app and its widgets show is calculated on the device from that one date. There is no account, no sign-in, and no profile of you anywhere.
The app does send anonymous diagnostics (how the app is used, and a report when it crashes) so we can keep it working. Those reports carry no date of birth and nothing that identifies you.
1. Who we are
Everflow is published by Burning Bros Inc. ("we", "us"). For anything in this policy, write to burningbrosinc@gmail.com.
2. What stays on your device
The following is stored only in the app's own storage on your iPhone, plus the app group container the home-screen and Lock Screen widgets read from. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it:
- your date of birth;
- your language choice;
- your widget preferences and which of the day's messages you picked.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. Because we never receive it, there is nothing on our side to delete, export, or lose.
3. What the app does send
Everflow uses two Google Firebase services in App Store builds. Google acts as our processor: it handles this data on our instructions and not for its own advertising.
| Data | Why | Service | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| App usage events — app opened, screens viewed, session length — plus a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, device model, OS version, and the country inferred from your IP address | To see which parts of the app people actually use, so we know what to improve | Firebase Analytics | Up to 14 months |
| Crash reports — stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, and an installation identifier | To find and fix the bug that caused the crash | Firebase Crashlytics | Up to 90 days |
Our legal basis under the GDPR is our legitimate interest in keeping the app functional and in understanding, at an aggregate level, how it is used (Art. 6(1)(f)). Nothing above is used to make decisions about you, and none of it is combined with data from other apps or websites.
4. What we never do
- No tracking. Everflow does not read the advertising identifier (IDFA) — the analytics library is built without it — and it does not share anything with data brokers or ad networks. This is why the app never shows an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- No ads and no selling. We do not sell or share personal information for money or for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in California law.
- No accounts. There is no sign-up, so there is no email list, no password, and no account to be breached.
- No location, contacts, photos, health data, or notifications. The app requests none of these permissions.
5. Content updates
The illustrations and messages Everflow shows ship inside the app. The app contains the ability to fetch an updated, signed content bundle from our hosting; when that is switched on, the request carries no personal data — no identifier, no birth date, nothing but a check for a newer bundle version.
6. Children
Everflow is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. A date of birth entered by anyone, of any age, stays on the device.
7. International transfers
The diagnostics described in section 3 are processed by Google on servers in the United States and other countries where Google operates, under Google's standard contractual clauses for Firebase customers.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
- For everything in section 2, you already hold it: it is on your device, and deleting the app erases it.
- For the diagnostics in section 3, email burningbrosinc@gmail.com and we will delete the records associated with your installation identifier. Please send the request from the device in question so we can identify the right records; we answer within 30 days.
You can also stop diagnostics entirely by deleting the app; iOS also lets you switch off Share iPhone Analytics under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, which limits diagnostics at the system level.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes for the version that introduces them.
